Maximum Daily Transaction Value for Mpesa

The maximum daily transaction allowed on the MPESA network is Ksh 300,000 shillings. What this means is that you cannot send or receive more than 300,000 shillings in a day. On the other hand, the maximum amount allowed per transaction on MPESA is Kshs 150,000.

MPESA was created back in the year 2007 to be used as a mobile banking system that would provides transaction services for Kenyans through a SIM card.  The app has since expanded to other countries around the world.

Users of the app are able to withdraw and send money through a network of agents. As a  user you are able to make payments and transfer money to other people, businesses and also pay for goods and services.

Other services that are attached to this services include Wealth Management, savings and insurance. The m-pesa service is regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya.

How to Register For M-PESA

There are number of things that you need to do for you to be able to register for the m-pesa service.

  • The first thing you need to do is have a safaricom SIM card.
  • Once you have the sim card installed on your phone, choose “Activate M-Pesa” option
  • Enter your personal details.
  • Eter your secret pin number and confirm it.
  • Youwill also be required to enter your ID number during registration.
